It’s impossible to put a value on family pets, and the loyalty, love and affection they bring to a home… until you have to visit a vet. Then the cost of pet ownership comes into sharp focus. All private healthcare is expensive, and the cost of keeping a furry family member fit and health is no exception, which is why many Kiwis choose to take out pet insurance.
If your pet is injured in an accident, or becomes ill, the peace of mind pet insurance can provide means you don’t have to worry about your pet missing out on the essential treatments they require.
Indeed, in Canstar’s latest consumer research for its Most Satisfied Customers | Pet Insurance Award, three quarters of respondents say they value pet insurance for the peace of mind that it delivers.
And when it comes to which pet insurance provider delivers the best levels of customer satisfaction, the results are just as clear: Kiwi pet owners rate AA Pet Insurance as the best pet insurer for delivering all-round customer satisfaction.
Each year, as part of Canstar’s mission to help consumers make the right financial decisions, we talk to 1000s of everyday New Zealanders with pet insurance policies and ask them to rate their choice of provider.
For this year’s Most Satisfied Customers | Pet Insurance Award, we spoke to 457 Kiwis and asked them rate their providers’ performance across the following categories:
